Biography

"I grew up in one of those Southern families that sits on a porch in the evening and tells stories-- I've been telling stories all my life, first to my younger brother, Andre, and then later, through novels, short stories and plays."

M.A. Theatre-Communications-Psycho-linguistics, Louisiana State University, Baton Rouge, LA

Novels have been published in the U.S. by G. P. Putnam, St. Martin's Press, and Berkeley; in England and Australia by Harper-Collins (Collins; Fontana; and Diamond Books); and in France and Canada by Press de la Renaissance, J'ai Lu, and France Loisir. Short fiction has appeared in North American Review, Redbook, and Good Housekeeping.

Plays been produced, workshopped and/or given staged readings in New Orleans, LA; Dayton OH; Valdez, AK; Buffalo, NY; Washington, DC: Los Angeles, CA; Long Branch, NJ; Rockford IL; Santa Fe, NM; Carmel-by-the-Sea, CA; and New York, NY.
